Welcome to The Over Players web site, an amateur dramatics group based in the village of Over in Cambridgeshire - United Kingdom.

We have been presenting shows in the village since 1984. Originally these shows were staged in the Church Hall but since June 1999 we have moved to the Over Centre. The Centre is a village facility part funded by the Millennium Fund.

The Spring 2007 production has now been decided. This time the Players are, again, going to present a musical. 

However, it is a musical with a difference because the group are going to present the show "Return to the Forbidden Planet".

The show dates will be Wednesday 30th May to Saturday 2nd June 2007. "Return to the Forbidden Planet" is based on the 1950's si-fi film The Forbidden Planet, which itself was loosely based on Shakespeare's play, "The Tempest". Most of the music for the show comes from the 1950's and 60's, and includes such numbers as Good Vibrations, Great Balls of Fire, Go Now, Shake Rattle and Roll and many others.
